DSFDF-Yearend portrait swap, 12"x12" Oil on birch panel
Having walked for several hours, her hair being tossed by the wind, the chill in the air colouring her face, the woman smiled, a slight but confident smile, knowing she has finally found the subject of her next painting.

I like the color you put in the skin tones, nice job!
ReplyDeleteHi Martin, what a pretty girl and your colors just added another dimention. Good job!

Love your colors and challenge photo.
ReplyDeleteYou are very talented - I am glad that you continue to pursue your art even though you have to work another job. This is an excellent entry into the challenge. I love how you pulled the blues into the skintones. Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteLovely portrait. Nice expression, feeling and story. I also like the way you cropped the image.
ReplyDeleteFun story to go with your great portrait. It's such a wonderful "painterly" entry with colors and skin tones not usually thought of, but definitely work!
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors in your portrait. I'm attempting to do the same pushing of the colors in my 100 PORTRAITS IN 100 DAYS project.
ReplyDeleteAs the others have noted: I really like your color choices in the face! As long as the values are correct, you can be creative with colors.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a lovely job you did with this portrait. I also love the pencil study you did! Great work....keep it up...(who needs to eat!)
